Renovated Farmhouse in Lower Normandy
Excellent condition, new kitchen, lovely garden and view

Property Details

This is a charming renovated farmhouse in a small hamlet, just a few minutes from the nearest town, but deep in the pastoral setting of the Normandy countryside.

The house is stone built and in excellent overall condition with three bedrooms, two dressing rooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, carpeted throughout, except for the bathrooms, which have tile floors, as does one of the dressing rooms. Downstairs is a large living room with a stone fireplace and a beamed ceiling, a good size dining room, a new kitchen and a large laundry/utility room. Also downstairs are a cloakroom and a wine cellar, plus a garage with electrically operated overhead door.

There is double-glazing throughout. The living room has white wooden Venetian blinds on all the doors and windows, as does the dining room on the front door. The garage, kitchen and utility room have white plastic Venetian blinds. There is gas central heating.

The attached garage is in what was a barn and therefore has plenty of storage space for garden tools and outdoor furniture. There is an attached woodshed with a loft area. Next to it, is an open sided hanger, used at the moment to park a horse trailer.

In front of the house is a large gravelled drive with ample space for parking, as well as a small lawn and colourful planting. There is also a well, which is used for watering the garden. Behind the house are two terraces, one with gravel and the other concrete, as well as a large flowerbed and roses growing up one well. There is also an electrically operated awning, which is excellent for providing shade during the hot summer months, when it is pleasant to dine outdoors.

A low stone wall runs along the back of the house behind the terraces and this gives on to a large grass area which has wild flowers in spring and summer, as well as some young trees and a small pond. The view from the back of the house is on to a distant hill with lovely trees and black and white cows peacefully grazing.
