Chalet Apartments in the Valmeinier Ski Area of the Rhone Alps
Valmeinier, between Chambéry, Lyon, Grenoble and Turin
1 and 2 bedroom apartments, sleeping between 2 and 8 people
The Thabor apartments have an exceptional panoramic view overlooking Valmeinier. The slopes are accessible directly on skis.
Valmeinier is in the heart of the Maurienne valley between the Le Télégraphe and Le Galibier passes and has a genuinely warm ambience that is especially enjoyable for families. The ski area is vast with 150 km of slopes between the altitudes of 1430m and 2600m, excellent skiing conditions and an endless horizon.
Experienced and novice skiers alike can find what they are looking for here from downhill skiing, cross-country skiing to snowboarding, plus a host of after ski activities. Shops, restaurants and ski schools are within walking distance of the apartments.
All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen area (cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffee-maker and kettle). A bathroom, separate toilet, telephone and television. All beds are fitted with duvets and bed linen and bath towels are provided.
The main living area has 2 single sofa beds + 1 pullout bed and there is 1 bedroom with a double bed. Some apartments also have a 1 cabin with 2 bunks in addition to the bedroom, others have 2 cabins with 2 bunk beds in addition to the double room.
Note: some apartments are duplex. Some apartments have 1 shower room with toilet in addition to the bathroom. A preparation service can be provided and a hamper delivery service can be provided (extra charges apply). Eight apartments are available for people with reduced mobility.
The village has child care centres (6 months to 8 years) with English, French and German speaking staff, on a half day or full day basis that provide outdoor and indoor activities for the children.
The Children’s Club (3 to 8 year olds) provides ski lessons or a range of indoor and outdoor activities for children who do not wish to ski.

Summer brings another world, pure alpine air and warm days. Valmeinier is surrounded by the famous passes of Le Télégraphe and Le Galibier (often on the Tour de France cycle race route in July), and lies between the Vanoise and Ecrins national parks. On 150 km of signposted footpaths, you can discover the mythical site of Mont Thabor and the high altitude lakes that surround it. There are many relaxing activities on offer for young and old alike.
